Usually I’m pretty leery of prequel stories, at least in terms of television. Sometimes they appear to be cheap ploys to jump-start an existing franchise or story to another medium without really having the story or creative direction to back it up. That said, I’m super happy I started watching Bates Motel right from the beginning and I can’t wait to see where Season 2 is going to zigzag.
Vera Farmiga alone makes the show entirely worth it, but Freddie Highmore can’t be discredited either. He plays “slightly off” like a boss, you guys. It’s hard to chat about Bates without getting all spoilery, so I’ll just say that A. It’s totally worth it, 2. Catch up on Season 1 ASAP, and D. watch this glimpse of the next season so you can anticipate the awesomeness.
Season 2 of Bates Motel is slated to air on A&E next year.Tags: A&E, Bates Motel, Freddie Highmore, Norman Bates, Psycho, Vera Farmiga
