The original Scream is one of my favorite movies of all time. I’ve literally seen it over 100 times. I know this because 1) I am insane, 2) because I counted, and 3) because I’m a huge geek. I was giddy with delight at seeing that Stu Macher’s (Matthew Lillard) house, the property they filmed the final party/finale scene at, is now up for sale!
I only need 1,000 of my closest friends to help me buy it.
The home is listed for $2,795,000 and is completely secluded in Tomales, Calif., north of San Francisco. The actual home is a 5,500 square foot Victorian Replica, built in 1990. From the looks of the photos, it looks beautifully maintained. It’s fully furnished with antiques and period pieces, but if that’s not your thing, maybe you’ve got a future hitting up Antiques Roadshow or something.
And that land – 298 acres of coastal land will be your backdrop, while the historic town of Tomales is just a short walking distance away.
Yes, I want this house. I would throw a killer party there, full of popcorn, beer from the garage, Halloween and other horror movies, and MORE. Pre-marital sex and drug use would be encouraged, and maybe even a Scream trivia contest, in which I’d take all your asses to school. And this song on a loop? No question.
Go ahead and take a walk down memory lane with this photo slideshow. A horror fan can dream…
I want to really buy this house
