I got this little awesome mini-calendar for Christmas and man, am I glad I found this in my stocking. The back of the box tells me that “the world is a much better (and tastier) place with delicious bacon in it.” I couldn’t agree more.

September 8 – Bacon-wrapped Chestnuts: Wrap 1/2 strip of bacon (you’ll need 1/2 pound total) around a water chestnut (from an 8 oz. can). Combine 3/4 cup ketchup and 1/2 cup brown sugar, and dip chestnut in mix. Repeat with other chestnuts. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes in a greased dish.
