So, um, American Horror Story: Freak Show starts tonight, and nothing else matters. I guess I kind of covered that in the headline, huh? Head honcho Ryan Murphy did share the opening title credits with the world though (below). So there’s that. And you should check it out – it’s all stop-motion animation and very A Nightmare Before Christmas. The creepy theme song has been circ-afied too. That’s a word I made up. Because circused didn’t sound as cool.
The fourth season begins tonight and giddiness will ensue. As Jessica Lange previously stated, this will be her final season of AHS, so us Freaks better savor it, like the last fry at the bottom of the bag, or the last sip of the best pumpkin ale you’ve ever had. Here’s to hoping Murphy can talk her into appearing again some time down the road, but as previously documented, Jessica Lange just doesn’t give a fuck.
My one gripe about Horror Story‘s return is that Emma Roberts is back. Talk about an actress completely out of her wheelhouse. Actually, I don’t think acting is in her wheelhouse. Maybe she should try knitting or crocheting, or wait, is that the same thing? I don’t know what Roberts should do, but she’s completely undeserving to share the screen with some of these greats. Look at this cast list! Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Michael Chiklis, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy, and Finn Wittrock. Wow. So I hope Roberts’ character dies and stays dead this time.
Here are those credits I was talking about.
Sorry I put a scary clown picture on this blog because I knew it would freak some people out. But hey. It’s October.
Watch American Horror Story: Freak Show tonight, 10/8 at 10 p.m. on FX! Do it or pay the price. (I’ll steal all yer candy.)
