I haven’t talked about FRINGE nearly enough on here. Which is sad. Because it’s the best new show of this TV season, and one of the best shows I’ve seen in a really, really reeeeeeaaaally long time.
It gets tons of comparisons to The X-Files, which is totally understandable, but it has more of a modern cop-drama vibe. It’s the perfect blend of the two.
Insert Wikipedian goodness:
The series follows an FBI Fringe Division team based in Boston, Massachusetts under the supervision of Homeland Security. The team uses unorthodox “fringe” science and FBI investigative techniques to investigate “the Pattern”, a series of unexplained, often ghastly occurrences which are occurring all over the world. The show has been described as a cross between The X-Files, Altered States, The Twilight Zone and Dark Angel

This show is amazing. It’s so amazing that I want to scream my love for it from a mountain top. The fringe science element is the most intriguing thing on television. The cast, including Anna Torv as Olivia, Lance Reddick as Broyles, and John Noble as crazy Dr. Walter Bishop, are all beyond amazing. Hell – even Joshua Jackson is pulling it off as Dr. Bishop’s son Peter. Everything about this show is perfection. I’m intrigued, I’m mystified, I’m in love….Fringe has it all and last night’s return episode was fantastic.
Watch the show. Catch up online. Do it. You won’t regret it.
And catch him if you can…
