March 9 was the 18th anniversary of The Notorious B.I.G’s death. On that date in 1997, he was shot and killed just six months after the death of another rapper you may have heard of: Tupac Shakur. You see, kids, this was a time when rappers had to prove how gangsta they were by killing each other. (Yep, I don’t get it either. Rap is stupid).

So basically, at least that asshat Kanye isn’t shooting anyone up, right? PROGRESS!

Seeing as how the Internet loves a good mashup (remember when Godzilla got us all in check? OK, so maybe the Internet just really likes rapping dinosaurs), this four-minute nugget of joy has Earl Sinclair from Dinosaurs rapping along to Biggie’s “Hypnotize.”

So I guess this is the best way we know how to memorialize B.I.G. in 2015? Well…there’s always next year. Until then, we’ll always have Earl.
