Empire Records…Open til Midnight!

Look at these Halloween costumes! Man, I have such adoring, empowering, bursting, swelling (and other adjectives, too!) respect for these two individuals. Fans of the 1995 Comedy surely know that my man on the left is Rory Cochrane’s aloof philosopher (HA!) Lucas and the lady on his right is Liv Tyler’s pill-popping brainiac Corey. And LOOK HOW AMAZING they are! Lucas with his black turtleneck and couch cushion accessory (for a great costume, it’s all about the accessories, kids), and Corey with her signature blue shirt and flannel skirt. Their Empire Records ID badges are just the final nail in the coffin: these are the best costumes ever.

If you’ve never seen Empire Records, I think you should reconsider that life decision. It’s about a bunch of kids who work at a record store. It has fantastic music. It’s extremely 90’s. It also stars Renée Zellweger, Robin Tunney, Ethan Embry, Debi Mazar, Anthony LaPaglia, and more. And it’s one of my Top 10 Favorite Movies of All Time. (I should write that blog some day…)

So whoever these two people are: The Littlest Winslow salutes you! Let’s be friends.
