‘I Am Chris Farley’ Trailer Gives An Inside Look At One of SNL’s Best

In 1997, actor and comedian Chris Farley died of a drug overdose at the young age of 33. I was in 7th grade at the time. Now, I’m 31 and I still watch his movies on the regular. Although his name is now forever added to the list of talent that’s been taken from the world too soon, his undying commitment to comedy and lack of vanity helped him deliver dynamite performances time and time again. He was one of the special ones.

In the new documentary, “I Am Chris Farley,” his friends and former co-workers take a much-deserved look back at his legacy. Directed by Brent Hodge and Derik Murray, the movie will shine a light on the already bright star and most likely make all of his fans cry into their box of tissues. The film includes interviews from Adam Sandler, Molly Shannon, Dan Aykroyd, Mike Myers, David Spade, Bo Derek, and many more, giving us what will hopefully be an insightful look into Farley’s troubled past and life in the fast lane.

The film will premiere on Spike on Aug. 10, before its release on VOD and DVD on Aug. 11.
