The White Stripes / Raconteurs / Dead Weather uber-musician Jack White has finally decided to go out on his own with a solo album planned for…sometime in the future.

“Eventually, yeah, for sure” it will happen, White says. He’s even considering playing all the instruments himself, “to differentiate from anything else that I’ve done,” he recently told Rolling Stone.

“It would be a mistake for me to premeditate anything, even in the next six months, to say what I’m going to do,” White continued. “I’d rather live like this without a calendar in front of me.”

Hey, I’ll take it.

Until then, The Dead Weather are planning a follow-up to their debut “Horehound” in the first half of 2010, which most likely will be supported by a tour.
