Netflix just dropped the trailer for Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later and I want it inside me. I’m so excited, this is me rn:
The gang promised to meet back at camp in 10 years to see what kind of people they’ve become, and even though we see Ben say this, it seems highly likely that Bradley Cooper will appear (he’s off filming his directorial debut, the remake of A Star Is Born starring Lady Gaga). But not even Ben’s absence will ruin this strong Wet Hot hype because OMG JUST WATCH THIS:
Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later | Official Trailer [HD] | Netflix
Sometimes, in order to move forward…you have to go back. Welcome to the Camp Firewood 10 Year Reunion! From David Wain and Michael Showalter, the filmmakers that brought the original 2001 cult classic and the 2015 acclaimed prequel series by the same name, Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later is the hilarious new eight-part limited series starring the original cast, plus an all-star lineup of new cast members.
Sure, First Day of Camp didn’t quite recapture all the magic of the original film (though Jim Stansel might argue otherwise); however, any time David Wain can get the gang back together, it’s a time worth celebrating, bingeing, and rewatching day by day.
Now we must try to live this measely existence in anticipation. August 4 has never felt further away.
