I have to admit: I’m not too into WiFi gaming. I’m a Wii owner, and clearly Wii is losing the WiFi race. The only WiFi games I actually own are Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Mario Kart Wii, and the Dr. Mario WiiWare purchase I just made. Other than that, my time spent battling friends online is minimal. However, let’s talk about what’s really important:

When Mario Party 9 hits (which is eventually inevitable), it had better be WiFi capable.

There’s no information regarding the ninth installment, but fanboy speculation says Nintendo is probably brewing it up and releasing it either slightly before or after Christmas. With the Mario Parties getting a little stale (unless you’re a Party freak like my friends and I), Nintendo needs to add WiFi to give the series new life.

Can you imagine playing a 4-Player Mario Party with 3 friends? It would be supremely awesome. The awesomeness would be incalculable.

So, hear hear Nintendo! May your developing be badass, swift, and online capable!

Or I’m going to be mad. And probably buy the game anyways.
