I don’t often listen to Christmas music. In fact, I sort of hate it. (If I hear that mothertrucking Mariah Carey song one more time…ugh.)

Have I ever talked about what a delight Kristen Bell is!? Oh, I have? Cool. Well, KBell adds her sweet, cutesy, adorable, amazing vocals to this new holiday track, “Text Me Merry Christmas,” from the a cappella pros Straight No Chaser. It’s a tongue-in-cheek joke to the ridiculousness of social media and texting, showing us just how idiotic we really are for being this glued to our phones. It’s a light-hearted romp that reminds me of snow and DID I MENTION KRISTEN BELL YET!? DID YOU WATCH VERONICA MARS!? WHY HAVEN’T YOU WATCHED VERONICA MARS YET!?

So although Christmas music isn’t my totes fave, Kristen Bell and a healthy side of wit can lift even this Christmas critic’s spirits.
