Badass poster: Check.

Great actor to play Freddy (Jackie Earle Haley): Check.

Supporting cast seems decent (the up-and-coming Kyle Gallner and Thomas Dekker): Check.

Buuuut, I’m still uncertain. Poster looks cool, but we still can’t see Haley’s face. I’m thinking I might need to hold out for a trailer before mentally committing to this film.

Like Final Girl said, bitching about remakes is kind of pointless. They’re happening whether we like it or not. But will this even be enjoyable, or will it be just a destruction of a piece of our childhoods? Even though Haley was amazing as the twisted Rorschach in Watchmen, I still don’t really know if I’ll be in a seat come opening weekend.
